section a – business user terms

these terms govern your use of the bragbox platform as a registered business or individual user.

  • • bragbox offers a 7-day free trial for new users.
  • • if you choose to upgrade during the trial, you will lose any remaining trial days and convert immediately to a full user.
  • • the subscription plan is called bragbox max.
  • • a subscription provides 25 brag requests per billing period. this helps manage system load and keep subscription costs to a minimum.
  • • if you require more brag requests, please email us and we will update your allowance.
  • • subscription fees are charged in advance on a recurring basis, unless otherwise stated.
  • • we may change the subscription price at any time by providing at least 30 days' notice.
  • • failure to maintain payment will result in suspension of your ability to send review requests, and possible closure of your account.
  • • you must keep your login credentials safe and not share them with others outside your organisation.
  • • use strong, unique passwords and log out when not in use.
  • • notify bragbox immediately if you suspect any unauthorised account activity.
  • • you agree not to use the platform for any unlawful purpose, to harass others, or to send unsolicited review requests without a lawful basis.
  • • you must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, data, or network.
  • • you must not reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise interfere with the platform's operation.
  • • you must only send review requests to individuals with whom you have a valid business relationship or lawful basis to contact.
  • • comply with all applicable laws, including uk gdpr and the privacy and electronic communications regulations (pecr).
  • • all platform code, designs, features, and brand assets are the intellectual property of bragbox.
  • • use of these assets is granted only for your use of the platform and at our discretion.
  • • bragbox is the data processor: we collect customer reviews and related personal data directly from customers via our platform.
  • • you, the business, are the data controller: you receive the reviews and customer information and may use them in line with your own privacy policy and applicable laws.
  • • we aim to provide the service with reasonable skill and care, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
  • • we may occasionally suspend the service for maintenance, security, or operational reasons, and will try to give advance notice where practicable.
  • • to the maximum extent permitted by law, bragbox is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities.
  • • our total liability under these terms is limited to the amount paid by you in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
  • • you warrant that you have all necessary rights and permissions to request reviews from your customers.
  • • we provide the platform "as is" without any warranty that it will meet all your requirements.
  • • we may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these terms or misuse of the platform.
  • • you may cancel your subscription at any time, subject to your current billing period.
  • • if you do not log in to your account for a period of 3 months, we will contact you and ask you to log in to keep your account active.
  • • if you remain inactive for 5 months, we will close your account, delete your data, and cancel any active subscription.
  • • these terms are governed by the laws of england and wales, and disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the english courts.
  • • the bragbox service is open to and intended for uk-based users only.
  • • we may ask business users to complete a brag (video review) about their experience using the bragbox platform.
  • • if you agree to do this and submit a review, the same usage rights apply to bragbox as if you were a customer submitting a review for a business.
  • • the brag wall and use of the bragbox system is solely at the discretion of the business user.
  • • users can choose to hide reviews they do not feel reflect their brand or customer experience.
  • • when hiding reviews, we request a reason and monitor for overuse or abuse of this function.
  • • to keep brag walls fresh, brags automatically expire after 60 days. users should download any videos they wish to keep before expiry.
  • • if a customer gives permission to hear more from your business when submitting a review, you will be able to download their details into your own marketing tools or personal systems.
  • • you are responsible for processing any changes to these permissions and complying with all gdpr obligations.
  • • failure to process permissions correctly may put you in breach of gdpr.
  • • we may suspend or remove your access to download marketing contacts if we reasonably believe there is misuse, are requested to do so by external agencies, or detect activity that breaches our terms.
  • • if you want to close your account, please contact us.
  • • if you close your account, or if your account is closed due to inactivity, suspected abuse, breach of our terms, a lawful request, or if bragbox ceases to offer its services, all of your information (including videos and customer details) will be permanently deleted.
  • • we will always try to notify you in advance of closure or deletion, but this may not always be possible.

section b – customer review submission terms

these terms apply when you submit a review via the bragbox platform.

  • • by submitting your review, you consent to bragbox collecting and sharing your review with the business you are reviewing.
  • • the business you review is granted full, non-exclusive, perpetual rights to use, reproduce, display, and adapt your review in any format and media, worldwide.
  • • bragbox retains the rights necessary to host, display, and process the review.
  • • you may withdraw your review at any time by using the link in your thank-you email.
  • • withdrawal removes the review from the platform and from the business's active use, but does not affect uses already made before withdrawal.
  • • important note: the business (data controller) may already have downloaded or shared your review. while withdrawal removes it from active display and the bragbox platform, it cannot undo distribution that has already happened online. if you wish to remove content that has been shared elsewhere, you may need to contact search engines (like google) or hosting providers directly.
  • • bragbox complies with uk gdpr and securely stores your data using google cloud infrastructure in uk data centres.

  • • your review must be honest and reflect your genuine experience.
  • • you must not submit false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise unlawful content.
  • • you must not submit content that infringes the rights (including intellectual property rights) of any third party.
  • • you must not submit reviews that are discriminatory, offensive, defamatory, slanderous, or that promote or share views, materials, or content that is illegal.
  • • we reserve the right to remove reviews of this nature when notified by the business owner and to report them to law enforcement authorities where appropriate.
  • • we may invite members of the public to create user generated content (ugc) simulating reviews, in exchange for a gift card payment or a charity donation.
  • • these are not genuine customer reviews and will never appear on the bragbox public brag wall. they are used only for home pages, training guides, and marketing activity.
  • • there is no intention to suggest or imply these are endorsements of bragbox's services. they are purely visual content to demonstrate the look and feel of customer reviews.
  • • if you submit content under this scheme:
    • - no payment will be made unless your review is selected for use.
    • - selection is based on creative and brand alignment, quality, and suitability.
    • - you will be notified by email within 28 days if selected.
    • - payment (gift card or charity donation) will be made within 14 days of notification.
  • • selection decisions are based solely on creative needs, never on gender, age, ethnicity, or background. bragbox is open to all and our content reflects this.
  • • editorial decisions are final. no cash alternatives are offered. we may pause or remove the scheme at any time.
  • • by submitting content, you grant bragbox full rights to use, reproduce, share, and edit your content for marketing and website purposes for up to 24 months.
  • • you acknowledge that:
    • - (a) publicly available videos can be copied or shared by others, even against copyright.
    • - (b) this is a good faith, non-contractual arrangement. bragbox reserves the right to recover damages if accepted content later damages our brand or operations.
  • • this is not a contract of employment. it is a freelance arrangement. you are responsible for paying any taxes that may apply to any payment you receive.
  • • brags (reviews) submitted by you are shown to the business user on their private and public brag walls.
  • • users can share their brag wall link with other customers, and download and share videos stored on it across other platforms to help grow their business.
  • • users can moderate their brag walls to ensure that only fair, accurate, and honest brags are shown to the public.
  • • if a user moderates a brag, we ask them to provide a reason and we monitor for abuse or misuse.
  • • to keep brag walls fresh, brags automatically expire after 60 days. users should download any videos they wish to keep before expiry.
  • • if you give permission to hear more from the business you are reviewing, they may download your details into their own marketing tools or personal systems to keep in touch with you.
  • • you can change this permission at any time by contacting the business directly.
  • 7 september 2025 – v1.2 – added subscription details (25 brags per billing period, bragbox max plan, upgrade rules), inactivity policy (3 months contact, 5 months closure), account closure and deletion rules, brag wall and review management rules (user discretion, hide option, expiry after 60 days), marketing permissions for both business users (responsibility and gdpr compliance) and customers (permission to be contacted by the business), added geographic scope (uk users only), and expanded user generated content scheme with detailed payment terms.
